For the past 36 years I have avidly been involved in politics in some form or another. I have always been interested in local politics; the main objective is be yourself and do what is right for the majority of the ratepayers in the township. You can learn from everyone you talk to if you are willing to listen.

- Served as a member of the contract Negotiating Committee from the time of certification until 1997 when I stepped down

- 2003 – Unsuccessful in my bid for councilor by 36 votes

- 2006 – 2009 Council Member on the OCPS police services board
- 2007 – Deputy Mayor
- 2007 – Building Committee Chair for Fire Station # 2 & 4
- 2008 – Member of the Building Committee for station # 1
- 2009-2010 Council Rep on the Economic Development Advisory Committee
- 2009 – Council Representative on the ARC Consolidation of Norwich, Otterville and Burgessville Elementary Schools
- 2011 – 2014 Chair of Accessibility Advisory Committee
- 2011 – 2014 Chair of Township of Norwich Economic Advisory Committee
- 2014 – 2018 Mayor of the Township of Norwich
- 2018 Member of the newly formed Oxford, Elgin, St Thomas Public Health Unit
- 2018 Deputy Warden of Oxford County
